The Road so far...

The conception of Lyscale Riskgrade has been time-consuming spanning almost two decades of intense research into Economic, Accounting, Finance, Risk-Economics and Business Methodologies. The driving force behind such hard work idealises the concept from the outset after realising that markets and organisations have limited scope in assessing risks in terms of differentiation and spectra as well as globally.

Back in the 1990s, during his undergraduate years in Oxford, Mamadou Ly dreamt about setting a "Global Standard" that would potentially revolutionise how Risk Management functions are conducted around the world. He came to realise then that Risk was a mere concept of the practitioners in finance with very little applicability on the terrain in terms of predictability, materiality and isolation.

He sets in writing and researching the discipline, combining it with an associative wide remit encompassing Economics, his subject of predilection, and Accounting and Finance before adding various strands of Financial Economics and Financial Engineering with an innovative computational flavour.

The road to final implementation has been long and tortuous with varying degrees of fortune. Financial constraints, added to adverse existentialist conditions made it hard for the founders to secure appropriate funding into the developmental phase. However, slowly but surely the relentless determination to continue research and develop the system whatever the adversity helped us see through along the years.

The dedication of our teams is a tribute to our contribution to society and the wider public at large. Lyscale Riskgrade is therefore here to stay, with improved versions as time goes by and in line with our clients feedbacks and renewed aspirations.

The Making of a Pioneering Tool

Lyscale Riskgrade is a fully-fletched vision that embodies the real-time deployment of five (5) interactive platforms subdivided into thirty-six (36) independent modules which, in turn, breakdown under one-thousand-five-hundreds and ninety-five (1,595) distinct applications. The system, as a whole, contains more than 178,000 interactive queries with almost 35 millions of result-driven items acting as a One-Stop-Shop for practitioners in the Financial, Capital and Money Markets around the world.

The aim of setting Lyscale Riskgrade System was initially to provide a digital interactive dashboard aimed at businesses, practitioners of Risk Financial Instruments, regulatory agencies and government policy-makers - a group relatively underserved by traditional private financial news service. Innovative methodologies that would make an early impact include Basel Capital Accord II, Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance at multinational level.

Within this trajectory in mind, we then realised that factual output for our assumed competition tended to limit to subjective if not speculative content with little hold on scientific methods.

At that point, we were confident that the Globe yearns for a system of a Global Unified Risk System based on scientific precision provided by Online Web-Application with dynamic interactive content supported by stunning graphics and modules deployed live, 24-hour a day, every day.

The challenges ahead were mind-boggling: we expected harsh criticism for the very fact that we were prepared to challenge convention and shift long established paradigms. This was inevitable, given our ambition to present key aspects of professional service innovation in new ways that appeal to proactive practitioners for this was a bold attempt to reconnect them with professional service innovation and, while we knew it still has some way to go, we were determined to continue to support the whole vision so that it is given the time it needs to prove itself.

In the past ten (10) years, we set and achieve the following objectives:

Objective 1: Completion of System Design

This involves a comprehensive review of procedures and protocols and the documentation of tasks of the Lyscale Riskgrade System.
